TuranBank was awarded at the III Agribusiness Development Forum, held jointly with the Agricultural Credit and Development Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations on March 29th.
Specifically, TuranBank, which has always supported the development and financing of entrepreneurship, especially in rural areas, and contributed to the development of the private sector in Azerbaijan, was awarded in the category of "the bank that contributed the most to the increase in competitiveness in microlending in 2023."
It should be noted that the forum's primary purpose, which has been held for the third year, is to bring together stakeholders involved in the country's agribusiness development to discuss international and local experiences, current situations, opportunities, including financial support for agribusiness and steps needed for more farmers to benefit from state incentives.
The forum was attended by high-level officials of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Economy, the Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs' Organizations of Azerbaijan, heads of ministries and state agencies, the Central Bank, banks operating in the country, and representatives of local and international organizations.
