Plastic card safety usage guidlines

To protect yourself and your payment card it is necessary to observe a number of some simple safety tips.

1)  Get connected to the "SMS Notification" service.

2)  Protect card as cash.

3) For participation in a telemarket, lotteries, advertizing campaigns, and also for other purposes don't  give the 16th-place number of the card, 3-place CVC code on a reverse side of the card, term the expiration of the card and the PIN code to other persons.

4) Don't write the PIN code on the card.

5) Don't keep and don't bear the card together with the PIN code in PIN envelope.

6) Never let anyone see you enter your PIN.

7) If you don't want your card gets damaged  then keep it away from mechanical and electromagnetic influences (Don't keep the payment card near the mobile phone).

8)  At a phone conversation in economic subjects and in other places don't give an information, regarding to a payment card in a laud voice.

9)  Never lend your card to anyone, never let them to make operation on it. Never accept recommendations, advice from the third parties during bank card usage. Because the purpose of the advice can be a fraud.

10)  For the solution of the problems arisen during usage a payment card call the bank's phone numbers specified on the card.  Never call numbers physically pasted on ATM, except specified on the screen of the ATM.  Hold bank's phone number in them memory of your cell phone.

11) If you are uncomfortable with the people around the ATM, stop operation.

12) If ATM works incorrectly, don't use it, cancel the current operation, and by pressing the Return the Card button on the keyboard  get the payment card back.  Report about it the bank.

13)  If your card gets sucked after end or abortion of the operation call your bank without departing from ATM, and explain the situation.   Don't respond to ATMs with the sound at all. 

14) If you found additional, handicraft devices (the video camera, a microphone, the keyboard etc.) not corresponding to ATM's design, don't use it and inform the bank.  

15)  Don't carry out operations in suspicious ATMs, in points of card reception and on the Internet sites.

16)  If you receive a request via e-mail or phone asking your card details, don't give them.  It is obviously fraud as banks never send such e-mails to the clients.  In such case inform your bank on this fact.

17) If you receive a card as a gift sent to your address, inform the bank about it.

18) Make sure that addresses of Internet sites on which you are going to make purchases are correct. Because similar addresses can be created for implementation of illegal actions.

19) Use only Internet sites of wellknown trade and service organizations.

20)  We recommend you to make purchases only on your computer. If you used someone else's computer, after completion of operations make sure that your personal information is erased.

21) We recommend you to get a card for payment of purchases only on the Internet (the debit or virtual card) and put on it the necessary sum equal to the cost of purchases.

22)  Don't use the PIN a code for purchase of goods and services through the Internet, and avoid sites where the PIN a code is required.  

23) When you make payments at trade and service objects keep your eyes on your payment card and demand carrying out operations with the cad only at your presence.

24) Don't allow to read out information from the card by other devices, except the POS-terminal.

25) When you get the card back make sure that this is your valid card.

26) Demand check for purchased good and service. Make sure that there are paid amount and currency stated on check.

27) Keep the card number, relevant TuranBank's branch and Azərikard LLC phone numbers with you.

28) In case of loss or theft of the card inform immediatly your bank's branch and Azərikard LLC about it and close the card. If you are not sure of the card loss you can block the card.

29) Control the card account by receiving extracts from the relevant branch of TuranBank OJSC and ATMs.

30) If during a trip abroad you plan to carry out operations with large sums, inform your branch of TuranBank in advance.

31) Inform about suspicious cases the relevant branch of TuranBank.

32) Be especially careful at implementation of operations in the countries with a high risk level.  Those places include the countries of Africa, South America, South East Asia (Thailand, Philippines), Eastern Europe (Ukraine, etc.).
